Do you sometimes find yourself lost for words when someone is going through a difficult time?

Build the confidence and practical skills to support people experiencing distress, and learn how to respond with empathy, calm and care when it matters most. Through practical strategies and real-world scenarios, participants develop the skills to recognise distress, start supportive conversations and connect others to help when needed.

Why attend a Start the Conversation session?

Start the Conversation is a practical and engaging workshop designed to build mental health awareness across workplaces and communities.

Many people want to support someone who may be struggling, but are unsure what to say or how to respond. This session helps participants develop the confidence and skills to recognise distress, start supportive conversations, and respond with empathy and care.
